Me

Venezuelan/Japanese-American dance artist from northern Kentucky.

 

Yazmine began her dance training at the Cincinnati Ballet Academy and continued her ballet education by attending professional training programs at Orlando Ballet, Cary Ballet Conservatory, and Sacramento Ballet. She received her  Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Contemporary Dance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in May 2025. At the conservatory, she performed works by Laila J. Franklin, Jennifer Archibald, Norbert De La Cruz, and Andrea Miller. She has worked professionally with Jo-Me Dance Theater and the Choreography Project (formerly known as the Rhode Island Women’s Choreographic Project). Continuously seeking to expand her movement vocabulary by attending workshops with Post: Ballet, New Dialects, Countertechnique, Ballet Hispanico, Gibney Dance, and Alonzo King Lines Ballet.

Passionate about sharing the joy of movement and expression through teaching and choreography, she is currently developing her artistic voice through improvisation, collaboration, and multidisciplinary forms in her creative process.

​

Additionally, she is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher who brings a somatic approach to dance and performance. 

​

She seeks fashion and styling-related opportunities, modeling for Boston based designers, magazines, and fashion shows (Dreamgirlworld zine, Petrichor Fashion Show and MassArt Fashion (Leah Thornpetal)
